What is SweetHeart for Kids?
Our Wenatchee community in the North Central Washington region is celebrating the 22nd SweetHeart for Kids virtual giving event.
Our SweetHeart for Kids virtual giving event will take place through May 18, and will include a Challenge Match. All gifts made before May 18 will be doubled thanks to the generous support of our corporate partners.
The SweetHeart for Kids virtual giving event will provide all supporters with the opportunity to come together and raise funding to support essential programming for the children and families in our Wenatchee community at a time when help is needed more than ever.
Your donation to our SweetHeart for Kids virtual giving event will provide critical support for essential programs to help our most vulnerable populations – families impacted by job loss and illness who are now facing even greater food insecurity and homelessness risks, children and adults in need of behavioral health services, and those in need of technology services to continue succeeding in school and work.

What forms of donations are accepted?
MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express donations received through the website are accepted. Checks can be sent directly to Children's Home Society of Washington at the following address:

Can I make donations via a mobile device?
If I make a gift before May 18, will it show up on the SweetHeart for Kids site?
You may donate to SweetHeart for Kids before or after the event by visiting www.childrenshomesociety.org/donate and selecting Wenatchee SweetHeart for Kids Virtual Giving Event in the drop-down field on the donation page or emailing us at donateinfo@chs-wa.org. Gifts made in advance through the www.childrenshomesociety.org/donate will be displayed on the leaderboard on May 18, 2022.
Can I use my employer's matching gift funds?
Yes! We strongly encourage you to take advantage of your employer's generosity to enhance your donation's impact to SweetHeart for Kids. Please make a note that your employer will match your gift in the "notes" field of the giving form or contact us at donateinfo@chs-wa.org
Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?
Yes. When donations are received through the website, a donation receipt is automatically generated for the gross amount of your gift and emailed to the address you provide. For all other donations, acknowledgment receipts will be mailed to the address listed on the donation.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Children's Home Society of Washington is a tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation. (EIN 91-0575955). Your tax professional can further advise you on the tax-deductibility of your donation.
May I designate how my gift is used?
All donations made during SweetHeart for Kids are considered unrestricted gifts and will be used to benefit Children's Home Society of Washington in Wenatchee. However, you may express your desire for your donation to be used for a specific program or project in the giving form notes field.
What is OneCause?
OneCause is a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits raise money, engage donors, and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently.
Who will receive my contact information?
Children's Home Society of Washington will have access to your name and email address. This information is used solely to send thank you messages, and notify you of future activities.
How much of my donation will go to Children's Home Society of Washington in Wenatchee?
Credit Card processing fees are 3.5% for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) plus a $.35 transaction fee. You are given the option to cover the fees, and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to Children's Home Society of Washington to support children and families in Wenatchee.
