I'm donating my birthday.

Today is my 31st birthday and all I can say is "thank you."

The trials and triumphs in my life were not conquered alone. Even when it felt like it. Thank you to everyone in my path that got me into those situations and through them.

Now, I want to pay it forward.

I founded He is Me Institute because we need more Black men teaching our kids. Our children deserve to see Black men on their journeys. This year, I donate my birthday to He is Me. And I'm asking you for a $5 gift.

When we collectively give a $1,000 donation, He is Me will hire a Black male college student to mentor middle school boys, and begin his path to teaching and changing lives.
