CHAMP Camp is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that provides a summer camp experience at Bradford Woods, near Martinsville, Indiana, for children and adolescents with tracheostomies and those who require technological respiratory assistance. Campers enjoy and fully participate in outdoor summer camp activities including swimming, canoeing, climbing, and zip-lining that encourage independence, confidence, and self-esteem to create memories that last a lifetime. Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, and CHAMP Camp are teaming up for The Great Bourbon Raffle, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own six rare bottles of bourbon from the Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery.
Tickets are on sale for $100 each and proceeds will benefit both organizations.
Both CHAMP Camp and Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana help make the impossible possible for children with critical illnesses and/or tracheostomies. Proceeds from the raffle will allow CHAMP Camp to build a wheelchair-accessible treehouse for campers to enjoy for generations to come and help Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana grant more life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Many children who have been granted wishes have also experienced CHAMP Camp.
Each ticket purchased provides one chance to win the entire collection of six Pappy Van Winkle bottles. There is no limit to how many tickets may be purchased by a single individual. Must be 21+ to purchase a ticket and to win the raffle. A total of 4,000 tickets will be sold and a winner will be announced on Thursday, June 16th at 12:00 p.m. EST. Raffle tickets with unique numbers will be distributed to each ticket purchaser the week leading up to the drawing.
Due to Kentucky state law, the bottles cannot be shipped and must be picked up by the winner or their designated representative at the Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana Louisville Office located at 1230 Liberty Bank Lane, Suite 300, Louisville, KY, 40222. Purchasing a raffle ticket is a non-tax deductible donation.
Eligibility: Any person 21 years of age or older, residing in the continental United States where the Raffle is not prohibited, may purchase a chance (referred to as “Ticket”) to be entered in the Raffle (such person shall be herein known as the “Ticket Holder”). An affidavit of eligibility may be required from Prize winning Ticket Holder. Employees of Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, and CHAMP Camp are prohibited from purchasing tickets.
