Nearly one-third of Lenawee residents are eligible to receive assistance to help meet their most basic needs. They are getting by, but only just.
This includes homeowners like John, whose roof is aging and needs to be replaced. John places buckets where necessary to catch the leaks, multiplying his risk of slipping or tripping. He will continue to struggle on his own or, soon, have to move to a care facility. With your support, Habitat can help.
Habitat Lenawee is developing a fund to support critical repairs and help our seniors stay in their homes safely for as long as possible. There are currently no programs that meet this growing need.
You can be a part of a brighter future for John and many like him. $2,000 can re-shingle the entire roof of an average Lenawee County home. Just eight donors of $250 each can make this happen.
