Summit Academy training programs build economic empowerment within our community by providing career skill training to laid off, unemployed and underemployed adults. Your generosity makes it possible for our students to attend at no-cost-to-them and train for careers in IT, construction and healthcare or earn their GED if they don’t have a high school degree.
Unemployment in the wake of COVID will be deep and prolonged. Many low-wage, dead-end jobs will no longer exist and the economic disparities within Minnesota will continue to grow without equitable access to training and education. Summit Academy provides a leg-up to those seeking financial and career stability.

Summit Academy has lost nearly 50% of classroom capacity due to social distancing requirements. To provide the community with the same level of pre-pandemic career training opportunities we must expand our campus to a new facility. Campus expansion will also allow Summit to increase program offerings into the in demand fields of a technology dependent economy and double enrollment by 2025. Your contribution to the Building Our Future campaign will ensure that Summit has a space for everybody seeking an opportunity to build a thriving future for themselves and their families.
