All Saints Day of Giving

Today we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. This is a great day, a Holy Day - a day to rejoice and be thankful. We celebrate all of the Saints who are in Heaven - known and unknown. They have competed well; they have finished the race; they have kept the faith. The lives of the saints teach us about true discipleship, and are models of holiness for us all.

In 2013, Pope Francis tweeted,” To be saints is not a privilege for the few, but a vocation for everyone.”  We are all called to be saints! 

At All Saints, we are forming saints by Building a Firm Foundation in Christ for all of our students - past, present and future.   Recall Jesus' parable of the two builders from Matthew 7:24-27.  The house that the builder constructed on a rock-solid foundation withstood the howling winds, the catastrophic rains, and even the flood that came.   That house stood firm, and in reality, is a metaphor for our lives and our future selves.  At All Saints, it all begins with our faith.   When we have a deep and abiding faith, and a relationship with our loving and gracious God, we learn to love - the Greatest Commandment.  This is where we begin to build the foundation.  This is what we model, teach and grow in each student at All Saints.  This is what is achieved when we partner with our parents in reinforcing this foundation.   

On top of this foundation of faith, add layers of excellent academics, strong values, morals and character education, and mix in the building of kind, compassionate and others- centered hearts as the mortar that holds it all together.    

Every student and family that has ever been a part of our All Saints school community has a story to tell.  Why they chose All Saints, and how this decision impacted their child and family, and perhaps changed the trajectory of their lives.   

On this Feast Day, we look forward to sharing these unique stories that bring to life the value and meaning of an All Saints education.  Maybe, these stories reflect your own experiences.  Please reflect on what All Saints has meant to your student, your family, this school, the greater community, and to the faithful.   Help us to reach our goal of $10,000.  Your gift at the highest level that you are able to give will help to ensure that our current and future Saints will continue Building a Firm Foundation in Christ at All Saints.
