About Giving Tuesday 2020
The Devon Clouse Legacy Fund (DCLF) is the single, central fund that supports day-to-day operations at the Naval Academy Primary School. This fund bridges the gap between tuition revenue and actual operating expenses.
Because tuition alone does not cover the cost of providing a NAPS education, the school relies on voluntary contributions to the DCLF throughout the year to make up the deficit. Historically, the gap between tuition income and operating expenses has been 10-15% per student per year.
Our financial strength relies upon the participation of the entire community. It encourages enthusiastic support of our school and is a key indicator to financial donors that we have consistent support for our future. The NAPS community has always been a giving one. This has helped the school and its students flourish and meet ever-changing expectations since 1946!

We intentionally keep tuition at a lower rate to ensure NAPS is accessible to a wider range of students.
