Our Impact
The Y is so much more than a gym. It is a cause dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Locally we serve over 600 Seniors providing numerous activities for our aging population that help them be both physically and socially active. Over 150 youth experience engaging educational and recreational activities while making new friends and learning what it means to have good character through our Summer Day Camp program. The Y works with several local agencies who serve mentally and physically handicapped adults, providing them with access to Y facilities and helping them to feel a sense of belonging and community. These are just a few ways the Y impacts our community through our mission driven programs and services.
The Y has been in this community for over 20 years and has become an integral part of Sikeston and the surrounding area. People from all walks of life rely on the Y for not just the facilities and the programs but the sense of community, the family atmosphere, and its Christian based mission and purpose.
We are committed to providing quality programs and facilities to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. While we strive to keep our values-based programs affordable by subsidizing some of the real costs, we know some individuals and families need financial assistance.
