Isaiah loves the Lion King book. He also loves going swimming and playing basketball in his free time! Isaiah is battling a nervous system disorder. This disorder can cause seizures and unusual sensations.
Despite these challenges, Isaiah is an outgoing, happy and active kid! When Wish-Granting volunteers met with Isaiah, he knew exactly what he wanted to wish for: to have a camper. Isaiah loved his camper and looked forward to adventuring with it!
For a child like Isaiah with a critical illness, having a camper meant so much more than just being able to travel. This camper will give him the opportunity to escape from his difficult medical routines and to adventure with his friends and family. Details on Prize Raffle
- The virtual raffle will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 7:00 pm EST.
- The LIVE drawing will be held during a dinner reception at Emerald Event Center and will be aired via a LIVE virtual webinar.
- While you can purchase multiple tickets/entries to the raffle, each purchaser can win no more than one (1) prize per person.
- During the LIVE dinner raffle, each prize will be announced and then the ticket for that prize will be drawn. The winner of that prize will then be announced and will be contacted via email with instructions on how to claim their prize.

WHY WE CHOSE MAKE-A-WISH
In our early days, W.A. Smith Financial Group gave to dozens of local organizations. While we believed in the good all of those charities were doing, we realized that, because we gave to so many, our donations weren’t really moving the needle. Our team decided to pick one organization to focus on, so our donations would have a significant impact on people in need.
Since 2017, we’ve focused our fundraising on helping the Make-A-Wish organization grant wishes for kids diagnosed with critical illnesses. Through events like our charity Golf Outing and Lake Erie Crushers game, or by donating a portion of Bill’s book sales, our clients help us raise money that helps grant wishes for kids in our area.
Over the past 4 years, W.A. Smith Financial Group has been able to raise over $147,000 and grant more than 14 wishes for local boys and girls. We smashed our goal of granting four wishes in 2020 and were able to grant a total of seven! So, we want to keep the momentum going. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have learned to pivot our fundraising and didn't want it to stop us. Our hope is that this raffle will allow everyone the chance to give to a great cause with the added bonus of winning something fabulous for yourself! Together, we would love to be able to grant a couple of more wishes this year!
