Thank you for registering for the SOSi Virtual 5K Turkey Trot for Troops.   The sky's the limit on how you run your race. There is no set course or starting line, and you can choose your own route on roads or trails, or even participate from a home treadmill, the gym, or on a track. You may run your race anytime between November 12 - November 22

In lieu of registration fees for our virtual 5K, we are asking participants for a donation in support of USO. The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. SOSi will be matching USO employee donations. 

USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore (USO-Metro) established Turkeys for Troops in 2008 to support junior enlisted military families (E-6 and below). The USO has a proud tradition of providing holiday meals and is honored to say “Thank You” to local military families by providing Thanksgiving meal kits, with all the trimmings.

When our troops have Thanksgiving on the USO, they can spend more time with their families, celebrating their blessings in the true spirit of the holiday.  True to the USO-Metro mission of connecting service members to family, home, and country, this program encourages military families and service members to gather together in fellowship and camaraderie for the holidays.

Not only will your contribution fund our Turkeys for Troops boxes, but it will also go towards USO programs and services we deliver year-round.
