Please join us for our three-day virtual gala from July 22 – 24 to learn about Share Our Spare and our commitment to ensuring every child in Chicago has the essentials to thrive. Help us reach our goal of raising $300,000. Visit our site daily to see our impact and learn more about how your support can make a difference.
Reaching our goal will allow us to:
  • Distribute 375,000 diapers to 4,500 children
  • Add and support 5 new partner agencies from our waitlist who are committed to disrupting poverty in our community
  • Continue supporting 7 Chicago Public School and Chicago Greater Food Depository locations
    • Check in each day to see new videos and learn more about our mission and work in the Chicago community.

    About Share Our Spare

    Share Our Spare was founded in 2011 by Amy Kadens following the birth of her first child. She realized that being a new mom was challenging even with extra resources and support, and that no parent should ever have to endure the stress of providing the basics. She leveraged her network of friends and family with extras to share and connected them with Chicago’s most needy families. Over the past several years, we have collected over 1 million infant and toddler items to distribute to thousands of Chicago area families in need.
