Known for producing ladies of impeccable stature, Hampton currently has enrolled approximately 1,200 students, educating them in disciplines ranging from music and drama to science and technology. Approximately 1/3 of the student population reside on campus.
Our goal is to fit each bathroom with fixtures that are DURABLE and a layout that is EASY TO MAINTAIN. We are in the process of estimating the cost of these repairs, but to date, our best guess is US$50,000.

Hampton School, located in the hills of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, celebrated its 160th year in 2018, and one of the events used to mark this impressive achievement was a grand reunion weekend for the Hampton diaspora. The reunion was a BLAST!!! Hampton old girls from the 1960s thru 2013 celebrated Hampton like never before; the rituals, the food and the boarding, all nostalgic ... except for 2 crucial things:
1. Some of the buildings/dormitories are in grave disrepair, AND
2. there is very little water coming thru the pipes.
Most of us were disheartened by this and as the weekend ended, a few of us decided to do something about it. And so it was that Project Renaissance was born. Our goal is to address the problem in two phases:
1. Address the water crisis facing the school, and
2. Address the disrepair in some buildings (dormitories)
Phase 1: the water crisis was assessed at a repair cost of US$12,000 and we raised US$13,510. We are coordinating to begin work on those repairs, which will involve replacing some pipelines and adding more pressure via water pumps.
Phase 2: the disrepair in the school's bathrooms. Our goal is to raise the money necessary to implement a solution that will endure for generations.
