About POP UP THE PADDLE

The Fundraising Must Go On!

In light of current events, Patrons of the Prado have reimagined a replacement for our popular Masterpiece fundraiser. With the support of our caring community, we hope to partner with you in a successful online event.

Our mission is more critical than ever during these challenging times. The unprecedented global pandemic has forced the closure of the Prado’s museums, theatres, and science centers. Without revenue from daily visitors, the funds needed to sustain operations and keep our Prado thriving for future generations are deeply impacted.

ACCORDING TO A SURVEY BY THE AMERICAN ALLIANCE OF MUSEUMS, THE UNITED STATES IS AT RISK FOR LOSING ONE-THIRD OF ALL MUSEUMS DUE TO COVID CLOSURES.

We hope you will join our efforts to raise $150,000 to support our beneficiaries. Dress up, pour a drink, and raise your virtual paddle with us!
