About 2023 Marine Corps Association Foundation Giving Day

Today, members, donors, and friends of the Marine Corps all over the world come together to support our programs to enhance the professional development of Marines on our third annual Giving Day.

Thousands of Marines will feel the impact of your gifts in a variety of ways including awards they receive at the Corps' formal schools and in their units, books from the Commandant's Professional Reading List provided at no cost to junior Marines, battlefield studies to learn the lessons of history and apply them to today’s challenges, and writing contests to help them become better critical thinkers and leaders.

"The Okinawa battle site tour is one of the best ways for Marines to understand their history here on the island of Okinawa. I found the tour to be extremely informational and interesting. Learning and seeing where Marines before me fought, and what conditions and terrain they had to endure, puts into perspective how exemplary the Marine fighting spirit is. I believe it is important for Marines to attend professional military education trips like this because it reinforces a sense of pride Marines have for those who came before us."

Sgt Dylen Rasmussen, Machine Gun Section Leader, Lima Company, 3d Battalion, 4th Marines, 7th Marine Regiment

Everything we do for Marines is made possible by our donors.

At the end of January, the 1st Bn, 12th Marines conducted an in-depth study on the war in the Pacific.

Through MCA’s Commanders’ Forum program, the battalion’s 250 Marines visited the sites at Pearl Harbor to expand their knowledge and understanding on this pivotal moment in US history.

"The Pearl Harbor tour was an extremely humbling and impactful day. Learning more about the history of the attack left many Marines awestruck at the courage and fearlessness of their service's predecessors."
-1stLt Dylan J. Beaulieu
Assistant Battalion Logistics Officer

"As a Navy Sailor, The Pearl Harbor PME helped me learn and connect to WWII history. A reminder to honor those who died while answering the call to serve our great nation. Thank you for giving me this opportunity."
