JW House: National Hospitality House Week Fundraiser 2019

About Summer Appeal 2019

National Hospitality House Week (NHH Week) is a week to celebrate and recognize the impact that healthcare hospitality houses, like JW House, have on families facing medical crises.

Hospitality houses provide a safe and welcoming “home away from home” for families with loved ones in the hospital. Hospitality houses care for the caregiver, relieve financial burden, and allow families and caregivers to focus on the health of their patient. Studies show that having a well-rested and supportive caregiver leads to:

  • Shorter patient stays
  • Better pain management
  • Quicker recovery

JW House has been supporting families facing medical crises for almost eleven years. In this time, we've served over 16,000 guests with loved ones in Silicon Valley hospitals. Help us support these families by contributing to our NHH Week Fundraiser and sharing a Note of Love for our guests.

Hospitality House Week Summer Speaker Series

In celebration of National Hospitality House Week, we invite you to join us for one, or both, or these inspiring talks! Whether you are a guest of JW House, a volunteer, supporter, or donor, it is likely that you, or someone you know, is or has been a caregiver to a loved one. Hospitality Houses, like JW House, care for the caregiver. During this special week, we are bringing in two speakers with expertise in caregiver health and wellness to share their wisdom with our community! Light refreshments will be provided at each event.
