WINNER: Tom Bridges
WINNER: Robert & Nancy Miller
We are thrilled to present Howard Sitron with this year’s Irving B. Harris Leadership Award for his commitment to excellence in serving our community. Howard has served as President & CEO of JCFS Chicago for the last 10 years. Through his leadership, JCFS has grown its family of services to better serve the community into the future. As a volunteer, Howard currently serves on the national board of directors of the Network of Jewish Human Services Agencies, and the advisory council of the Institute for Therapy through the Arts. Howard is also a long-time professional musician, playing trumpet and flugelhorn.
JCFS is excited to recognize Danny Wolf with this year’s What’s Possible Award for his civic and philanthropic endeavors. Born in Theresienstadt Concentration Camp in 1944, Danny and his mother reunited with family and emigrated to the United States with assistance from the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS). Eventually, his family founded The Bagel Restaurant, which Danny still owns and operates. A long-time member of Anshe Emet Synagogue, Danny has served in numerous leadership positions for Jewish communal and charitable organizations in addition to being a steadfast supporter of JCFS.
