Time to build upon YOUR LEGACY at Gehlen Catholic
Dear Gehlen Catholic Alumni,
Growing up in Le Mars, I always sensed that Gehlen Catholic was more than just a school – it was a unique and welcoming community, a true family. Now, as I begin my first year as president, I am honored and deeply grateful to be part of the Jays family, a family that extends to each of you as proud alumni.
Every day, I witness the faith, commitment and compassion that sets Gehlen Catholic apart. I see our dedicated teachers investing countless hours and heartfelt energy in their students. Our staff and administrators consistently go above and beyond, while parents and families passionately support our mission. Most importantly, I see a bright future in our students, including my own children who benefit from the foundation you helped to build.
At the same time, I am aware of the challenges our school faces today. Our facilities are stretched to their limits: teachers share classrooms, hallways feel crowded and
our enrollment continues to grow. This year’s kindergarten class is the largest in 15 years! These are signs of progress, but also reminders of the need for more space and resources. This is why I’m asking you to consider supporting our annual alumni appeal as well as joining a growing list of Legacy Campaign supporters.
Year after year, our alumni appeal helps fund the endowment, tuition assistance and critical needs of the school. The Legacy Campaign is our opportunity to honor the tradition of faith and excellence that you, our alumni, helped to create. By improving and expanding our facilities, we can ensure that future generations experience the same supportive environment that shaped your lives. I am excited for the positive changes ahead for our teachers, students and for all the families who will walk these halls in the years to come.
