Captain Melissa Bryan is trekking 82 miles on the Appalachian Trail from the border between Maryland and Pennsylvania to Duncannon, PA to raise money for Susquehanna Service Dogs! Beginning April 27, Captain Bryan, who serves in the Canadian Armed Forces and is a Security Assistance Liaison Officer (SALO) at US Army Security Assistance Command, will backpack along the trail, ending on May 4 in Duncannon for a closing ceremony. All funds raised help Susquehanna Service Dogs raise, train, and place service dogs, hearing dogs, and facility dogs to assist children and adults with disability, including veterans, to lead the lives they want to lead and have the confidence to do things they didn’t think were possible.
