The Ed Reed Foundation has been serving at-risk youth in Baltimore and New Orleans for over 19 years through our community programs founded in mentorship, health and wellness, and exposure to new environments. Our Founder, Hall of Famer and Ravens legend Ed Reed, knows the impact that a positive mentor, constructive organized activities and new opportunities can have on underserved youth from his own personal experiences.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Ed Reed launched the Ed Reed Foundation is 2002, his rookie year with the Baltimore Ravens. After visiting local schools and seeing the challenges that at-risk youth were faced with, he dedicated his philanthropic work to being a force for positive change for young people. Seeing many of the similarities between his hometown in New Orleans, Ed brought the same passion he showed on the football field to the Baltimore community. Knowing the tremendous impact that mentorship, engagement in healthy activities, and exposure to new environments could have on underserved youth, the Ed Reed Foundation's marquee programs focus on being a resource in our target communities and instilling our values in the next generations.
