About Another Tomorrow

JOLT Foundation is making a difference in Central Illinois and reducing fatal overdoses by 50% over the last 12 months. This comes at a time when the CDC is reporting over 100,000 fatal overdose death per year across the country. Each overdose death that is prevented grants #anothertomorrow to someone who is deeply loved by their family and friends.

With each new tomorrow comes an opportunity for change, for life, for help, and hope!

Every year on August 31st (Overdose Awareness day) we remember those we've lost to overdoses and recommit to the necessary work over eradicating preventable overdose deaths. We do this by providing free, no-barrier access to the life saving medication Naloxone (Narcan).

We can also increase the likelihood of people seeing another tomorrow by investing in their overall health and wellness, even while they are still engaged in high-risk behaviors. By providing harm reduction services, sexual health screening and testing, and peer coaching/support our participants begin to see an immediate impact on their quality of life, and that often motivates them to continue making small but consistent changes in their behaviors.

The #anothertomorrow campaign isn't just about impacting the lives of our participants but our whole community as well. See, whenever one individual's health and wellness is better that raises the overall floor on the community's overall health and wellness. When we all have the opportunity to access resources to better ourselves the entire community benefits.

If you would like to invest in the health of your community this is a great opportunity to do just that. All funds raised during the #anothertomorrow campaign will go directly to the purchase and distribution of Naloxone and other harm reduction supplies and resources.

While we are looking for individuals/groups to help us hit our goal of $50,000 we are more importantly looking for people who are passionate about our mission who will partner with us by setting up recurring monthly donations in any amount. If this is you, you can set that up when you donate to this campaign. It is this kind of financial giving that will help us create a sustainable program for years to comes.

Either way, your gifts will literally save lives! That is something we could never fully express our gratitude for but, thank you in advance for your generosity.

I saved...

We hear stories like this everyday of people saving other people's lives because they have naloxone they got from JOLT. Every life saved is #anothertomorrow for that individual. It's another chance at survival. Another chance at recovery. Another chance at making positive changes. Another death avoided.

Your support helps JOLT purchase and distribute this life saving medication, putting it in the hands of those who need it most. Your support WILL save lives.

We see it work! Peoria County has seen a 50% decrease in fatal overdoses over the last 12 months. But, COVID has disrupted the manufacturing and accessibility of naloxone. That's why we need your help.

How your Support Makes a Difference

Prevent Fatal Overdoses

In 2021, we were able to reduce overdose deaths by 50% from the previous year. Help us continue our urgent work in ending fatal overdoses and providing harm reduction-based medical and social services to the most marginalized and vulnerable people in our region.

Stop The Spread Of Preventable Diseases:

Our region has some of the highest rates of preventable sexually transmitted infections. Your donations help us provide free STI testing (HIV/Hep C/Chlamydia and Gonorrhea) to extremely vulnerable populations and connect them to immediate care for treatment.

Provide Social Supports:

Many of the individuals we serve are highly marginalized and vulnerable to negative health outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to, people who use drugs, are engaged in sex work, are experiencing homelessness, identify as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, or are otherwise overlooked or ignored populations. Your financial giving allows us to work alongside them to restore dignity and a sense of belonging to the greater community.

Empower People To Make Changes:

Your support communicates that people who are engaged in high-risk behaviors are the primary drivers of change. By supporting our program you will be echoing the call for non-judgmental, non-coercive services and resources that empower people to take control of their health and wellness.

Speak Truth To Power:

Recognizing that poverty, class, racism, social isolation, past trauma, sex-based discrimination, and other social inequalities exist, your help allows us to continue challenging systems that create iniquity and harm our marginalized families and friends.
