Annual Awards Chairman Christopher J. Culver and Honorary Chairman George W. Carmany welcome you to help us pay tribute to National Maritime Historical Society award recipients over the past five decades—those whose work represents the heart of America’s maritime heritage. We hope you will support the work of the Society on this very special occasion. We need your help as we strive to broaden knowledge of our maritime heritage, illuminate the work of outstanding individuals in the field, connect members, and expand our breadth to new audiences!
Since its inception in 1963, the National Maritime Historical Society has used its position as the national voice of our maritime heritage to honor, through its awards program, effective leaders and organizations in the maritime field. Over the last five decades, the Society has bestowed more than 200 people, institutions, and programs with a variety of awards. Read about them all on our website at http://www.seahistory.org/AAD2020.
